Altura's primary mission is to reduce future work-at-height risks to workers employed to clean and maintain your buildings.  Saving money at construction stage and throughout the life of the building through innovative design is an important objective also.

Managing Director Kieran J. Meegan, Chartered Engineer, founded Skyway Safe Access Equipment Ltd which grew to become Ireland’s “Leader in Safety at Height”. He sold the company in 2016 to concentrate on the more technical and difficult aspects of working safely at height – hence the formation of Altura.  


What we offer:

                1.           Design and Specification Services for Architects & Design Teams; 

  • Innovative ideas and strategies for safe access to facades and roofs of buildings for future maintenance.
  • Preparation of Tender Documents including Reports, CAD Drawings and Specifications for work at height projects in residential, commercial, manufacturing and industrial sectors.
  • Abseil Systems, Cradles or Building Maintenance Units (BMU’s),  Mobile Elevated Work Platforms (MEWP’s), Long Reach Pole Systems, Fall Prevention Cables, Guardrails, Ladder Access, Walkways and Emergency Escape. 

                2.           Review of Specialist Sub-contractor Designs and Installation Work;

  • It is best practice to ensure that designs submitted by sub-contractors for specialist equipment are independently reviewed – we will ensure all proposals are compliant with European Standards and Specifications.  It is critical that the systems will be practical to use when complete.   
  • We will inspect equipment as it is installed and provide appropriate BC(A)R certification.
